NYC Stubborn Clouds Moisture Stick Around

NYC Stubborn Clouds Moisture Stick Around

Good afternoon everyone. We’re not off to a great start today as moisture continues to linger around and will be with us through tomorrow. For today, that moisture will be int he form of some fog meandering about, before giving way to mostly cloudy skies. Overnight, we could see another batch of showers and storms, but these look more scattered compared to yesterday evening/overnight. Clouds will stick around for Wednesday, then we should see some sunshine Thursday, onward. Some heat is still on the table for Sunday and we could see it extend into Monday. However, there are still a lot of questions in terms of how far we can carry it before things get active again front-wise.

For today we have that fog sticking around. It’s taking a little extra time to burn off, but it will eventually. Look for mostly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 70’s to low 80’s depending on if there are any blue breaks. Overnight, we’ll have those scattered showers and storms lurking about. Some of them could be on the heavy side.

Things will dry out tomorrow, but we keep the clouds around and seasonably warm conditions. Look for highs in the low 80’s.

WEATHER RADAR

Thursday looks like the best day of the workweek, with clearing skies and sunshine early, then increasing clouds again late. Highs will be in the mid 80’s. We could see some scattered showers and storms overnight Thursday into Friday, but we’ll dry out on Friday with highs in the low to mid 80’s.

Your weekend is looking like a split between comfortably warm and hot. We’ll start off nice with sunshine and highs in the low to mid 80’s for Saturday, then the wind kicks around and pumps in some hot and humid air. Expect highs in the upper 80’s to low 90’s on Sunday, then a repeat for Monday. Tuesday remains in question with the prospect of a back-door cold front, and we will continue to watch that.
