NYC Very Cool Air Heads For Colder Pattern Overall
Good morning everyone. Very cool air has moved in and is here to stay aside from any brief upticks ahead of reinforcing shots of cool/colder air. We’ll even have the Lake Effect snow machine turn on as we head later into the week. We already see some patches here and there, but the bands will be more widespread and heavier along the shores of the Great Lakes possibly Thursday and onward.
SATELLITE
The big story is the much cooler air that has filtered in behind the remnants of Nicole, and it’ll pretty much be here to stay. Look for sunshine and mid 40’s today for highs, then low to mid 30’s overnight.
Tomorrow will modify slightly, but that’s because of our next system moving in that’ll reinforce the colder air. We’ll have AM sun, then increasing clouds, highs in the mid to upper 40’s. We won’t dip much overnight due to the clouds, but we’ll also have some rain.
WEATHER RADAR
Rain holds on for the first part of Wednesday, then we’ll have clearing late. Highs near 50 will happen early, then we will slowly drop during the day. Expect lows overnight in the low to mid 30’s.
Thursday looks breezy and very cool, with mid 40’s at best. Friday looks like a carbon copy, then we drop even more for the weekend. Lows Friday night might dip into the mid to upper 20’s depending on how much the wind dies down.
For you weekend, sunshine will be useless as we have a very December-like 2 days. Look for upper 30’s to low 40’s, 20’s overnight and dry. Our next system looks to be some time early to mid next week. Temps may go slightly milder ahead of it, but then we get knocked back down again, possibly even colder than what we’re seeing now.
