NYC WEEKEND SPLIT PROSPECT CONTINUES
NYC WEEKEND SPLIT PROSPECT CONTINUES
NYC WEEKEND SPLIT PROSPECT CONTINUES – Good morning everyone. Everything remains on schedule so far as to what to expect in the New York City for the next week or so. We’re entering a period of flux, so be prepared for several different versions of June weather.
The easterly flow and cloudy skies return today ahead of a stationary/warm front to our south, and low pressure well to our west. We look rain free today with highs in the mid 70’s. Overnight tonight, the chance of rain will increase after midnight, and maybe even a rumble of thunder.
That risk of rain and a few rumbles continues into tomorrow. As stated for the past several days, most of the energy will be going to our north and we won’t have a complete washout; but keep an umbrella handy as showers and storms could pop up at any moment throughout the day tomorrow, and they could stick around for a while for those who see them; highs in the mid to upper 70’s.
For Sunday, we clear things out for a warm one. Westerly winds will keep things dry for the most part, but we could see an isolated storm in the afternoon as low pressure exits the area. Most of the action should be in the interior, and some of those storms may produce some small hail. Look for mid to upper 80’s throughout the entire area.
The long range continues to hold and we could be turning up the heat in a big way. For those who missed it, you can check out my long range forecast here.
