Quiet Weather Continues Thanksgiving Hail Mary Forecast

Quiet Weather Continues Thanksgiving Hail Mary Forecast

Good late morning everyone. Our quiet weather continues until Saturday night and Sunday, when rain moves across the area. Other than that, we are on a fast-paced pattern with nothing truly significant on the horizon. I’ll also touch on Thanksgiving Day after the immediate forecast synopsis.

Blue skies continue today, then clouds will creep in overnight with our next cold front. Look for near-seasonal/seasonably cool temps today with highs in the upper 40’s to low 50’s.

Tomorrow, that cold front passes by and I think that 55-60 originally forecasted is going to be a tough stretch. We may get close to that range, but I think a gusty day and clouds hinder how high we go. We’ll call for highs in the low to mid 50’s, and the slight chance of scattered showers as that front passes through.

The front will help usher in cooler air, so look for a sunny and chilly Saturday with a steady WNW flow. Highs will be in the low to mid 40’s, then we increase the clouds late as the next system of our daisy-chain heads our way.

This one has the chance to bring us some needed rain overnight Saturday. It’ll be a cold rain at that as lows dip into the upper 30’s or remain steady in the low 40’s, then steady rain will continue into Sunday late morning/early afternoon.

Once the steady stuff passes, clouds will remain and we’ll have the slight chance of showers and/or sprinkles. Highs Sunday in the mid to upper 40’s.

LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA

Monday we clear out and calm down. That’ll help set us up for the next system in this fast-paced pattern around Thanksgiving Day. We do not have the timing down yet, but it looks as if low pressure goes well north and west of us. That’ll probably equate to a mild and showery Thanksgiving if the timing works out. Stay tuned and don’t change any travel plans.
