Rain New York City Late Tonight, Satellite Picture shows a weak low pressure system moving up the Mid-Atlantic Coast. As it nears the area, clouds will increase this evening, bringing with it some late rain after midnight. Expect the rain to continue into late morning/early afternoon. No local flooding is expected as rain amounts will be generally light. Partial clearing will begin late afternoon/early evening tomorrow. Temps will be cool tomorrow with highs only reaching near or slightly above 50. Sun returns for Wednesday with normal to slightly above normal temps, 59-63 degrees into Friday. Lows at night should be in the mid 40’s all week, lower 40’s in surrounding areas.
In the long range, the trends are pointing to a couple of shots of colder air moving in at the beginning of next week, with potentially our coldest air of the season so far. Highs may only reach the lower 40’s if the airmass is able to make it down from Canada. Following that, a slight warmup around Thanksgiving, then another cold shot moving in. As we get closer to the timeframe, we’ll be able to pinpoint exactly what to expect and which days will be relatively cold.
Rain New York City Tonight – Current radar shows an area of much needed light to moderate rain working it’s way up. There’s a few heavier embedded showers along the southern NJ coast. A few areas in NYC could see a half inch of rain depending on where the area transits. Elsewhere will see approx. 1/4 to 1/3″ of rain.
