SNOW SPREADS ACROSS NYC – Good afternoon everyone. Here’s a brief update & synopsis on our clipper system giving us our light snow. Snow will continue on and off into late afternoon, giving us our expected coating to 2″ in the area.

It looks as if the majority of the energy is going to the north of us and the snow is scattered in nature for the NYC area, so amounts will generally be on the lower end of the spectrum unless there are any last minute surprises. As with many over-running situations with a wave developing along it, we won’t rule out a last minute surprise, which is why I’m holding to the coating to 2″ spectrum.
Clouds and light snow spread across our area, giving us a little taste of winter for the day.
Light to moderate snow is scattered in nature as of now, lending me to believe that we will be in my forecasted spectrum, but on the lower end unless convection builds up.
