WARM HUMID FRIDAY RAIN POSSIBLE TOMORROW – Good morning everyone! As we await our next weather-maker, we’ll have one more sunny morning, followed by clouds and sun, and a warm, humid afternoon; highs in the low 80’s.
Once again, our energy will come in piece-meal, making it hard to give any definitive timeline as to who will see the most precip and when. As of now, it looks as if the NYC area will have a decent shot at a period of steady rain somewhere between midnight and early morning tomorrow. Then from mid morning onward, we’ll have a chance of scattered showers and embedded storms into late evening/night; highs tomorrow a humid and juicy upper 70’s to low 80’s.
For Sunday, we wait to see how fast things clear out. For the time being, I’m calling for morning clouds, with afternoon sun, highs in the mid 80’s. It’s possible we could clear things out faster, but that won’t affect high temps, we’ll just get there faster.
In the long range, near normal temps look to continue with varying ranges in humidity. We also wait and watch to see if Mother Nature has one more push of relatively hot air in store for us, but IF it does happen, it won’t be until or near the last 1/3 of August.
For the marine forecast, pretty much any day except for tomorrow looks good for meandering around the bays, but today looks like the only good ocean-going day until possibly mid-week next week.
