WARM QUIET NYC MONDAY TUESDAY
WARM QUIET NYC MONDAY TUESDAY – The warm air has officially arrived ahead of a very slow moving cold front/ridge combination. Light westerly winds will help warm things up quickly this morning through the upper 50’s and then into the 70’s as we switch the winds more towards the south, especially at the immediate shore. Away from the shore, temps will be in the 75-80 in the NYC area and upper 60’s, maybe some lower 70’s near the shore depending on how long we can hold onto that west wind.
Tomorrow will be essentially the same story, just add in a little bit of humidity and I wouldn’t be surprised if some areas creep into the the lower 80’s, especially in the notoriously warmer spots of the NYC area. However, most areas will again see 75-80 and cooler at the immediate shore.
Also, it looks as if the front will be passing on Wednesday as apposed to Tuesday night. This will make a difference as far as possible precip due to the daytime heating factor when the front passes. We will definitely see temperatures slightly warmer than expected, with highs in the low 70’s as opposed to the 60’s, and the front could touch off a few scattered showers and storms as it passes. We’ll keep an eye on it as we get closer, but for now, enjoy this treat Mother Nature has given us!

A large ridge has moved over the area, giving us a warm and dry Monday and Tuesday. A few scattered storms are firing up just west of the Chicago area, and we could see the same chance come Wednesday.
