Windy NYC Sunday After Gloomy Day Today
Good morning everyone. The weekend gloom continues, for now. Light rain, drizzle, and fog blanket the entire NYC Metro Area, and it’ll stick around until late tonight. We’ll finally see some sunshine tomorrow, but the wind machine will be on and wind chills will be on the cold side.
SATELLITE
Light rain, drizzle, fog, and everything else, continues throughout the day. It’ll be on the mild side near 50, but it really won’t feel like it with the dampness in the air.
REGIONAL RADAR
We clear out tomorrow and have full sunshine late, but the wind machine will help low to mid 40’s feel like 20’s, so bundle up if you’re heading out into the wind tunnel. Gusts will near 30mph at times.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
Mid 40’s stick around for Monday, and we’ll dial back the wind. We’ll still have a steady flow, but it’ll be a nice day overall and comfortable/dry.
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Overnight Monday and into early Tuesday, clouds increase as a quick moving system approaches. Expect some light rain in the area Tuesday afternoon, then we’ll keep a close eye to see if a short wave develops as it departs. If so, depending on how strong it is, it could be just enough to pull down enough colder air to give us some light mixed precipitation or a departing shot of wet snow.
It’s too early and one of those things we’ll have to watch closely. Other than that, still no major systems on the horizon as far as snowfall.
