Accumulating Snow Stays Mostly West & North Of NYC Area

Good morning everyone. As expected, the majority of the energy for today’s system is going just north of the NYC area, with maybe a slight brushing in the Bronx. My biggest question was, does a wave for along our departing system, and does it form too late? It looks as if it does form, but it’s too late and on the move. This will keep things relatively snow-free for the NYC & Long Island area, with maybe a few scattered sprinkles and/or snow showers. Meanwhile, our late-week area of energy continues to look disorganized and may even have problems reaching our area.

Look for cloudy skies today, the slight chance of some scattered light rain/snow showers, with highs in the mid 30’s. Expect no accumulation here, and 1-3″ possible west and north of the NYC area.

Tomorrow we clear up briefly before clouding up again, and we should have highs in the low to mid 30’s.

Our next area of disturbed weather enters the picture on Thursday and Friday with 2 weak parts of energy. As of now, we’ll keep the slight chance of scattered light snow in the forecast each day, but it may not even be that. Stay tuned and we’ll watch for any changes.
