Arthur Brushes Cape Misses NYC & Cool Week Ahead
Good morning everyone. Arthur is making headlines, but won’t cause anything here by maybe some enhanced surf. Meanwhile, the mechanisms in place to “protect” us from Arthur, will team up to cause a cool week. Gloom factor is somewhat low and the first chance of rain is Friday, but that prolonged east wind will be a nuisance.
SATELLITE
Look for sun & clouds today with stiff easterlies. 65-70 degree temps are in the cards, but that wind will make it feel slightly cooler.
The east wind picks up even more for a windy day tomorrow, and temps will be in the mid 60’s at best. Expect sun & clouds as well, with sunshine varying.
REGIONAL RADAR
More east winds howl for Wednesday, and this will be the coolest day of the week as the maritime push peaks. We may only see low 60’s, but the sun will be out aside from a few clouds.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
Without trying to sound repetitive, that easterly fetch continues on Thursday, but the sunshine factor remains ok. We climb out of the basement a little bit, with highs in the upper 60’s to maybe near 70.
Friday will be the first chance of a few showers, but they’ll be widely scattered in variety. Look for clouds and sun, a touch milder, and highs in the low 70’s for now.
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Our weekend is looking like a split, with clouds and maybe a few scattered showers Saturday and highs 75-80 & more humid. Sunday is cooler, but sunnier, with near 70 temps.
