BEAUTIFUL NYC SEPTEMBER SENDOFF

BEAUTIFUL NYC SEPTEMBER SENDOFF

Good morning everyone. For those confused about the blinding yellow disc in the sky over New York City, we call that “the sun”. It provides plants with energy, the earth with warmth; and from 93,000,0000 miles away, it shines in my eyes with perfect aim, waking me up after working till 12am.

EASTERN SATELLITE

It’ll be with us, uninhibited for a solid 2 day stretch before some clouds begin to roll back in; so take advantage of this gorgeous weekend that is upon us. Expect sunny skies, a light northerly breeze, and highs 70-75 today. Clear skies continue tomorrow, with bright sunshine, hardly any wind at all, and highs in the low 70’s.

To start October on Monday, some clouds start to roll in as a warmer airmass heads our way. Look for sun and clouds, highs in the low to mid 70’s. On Tuesday, we warm up a bit more as that warm air gets closer; highs in the mid to upper 70’s. A warm front looks to pass through overnight Tuesday, possibly giving us a few showers and rumbles of thunder. If it’s able to make a full pass, look for warm and humid conditions on Wednesday; highs 75-80.

As of now, it looks as if we have a few questions answered for Thursday and Friday in terms of how warm we go and how long the warmth stays. This is all due to Hurricane Rosa on the west coast interrupting our pattern as she heads into Canada and the upper Great Lakes region from the Southwest.

For the moment, we continue the humid 75-80 weather for Thursday, then low to mid 70’s on Friday with maritime air and clouds trying to push back. Next Saturday continues to have the potential to be a warm one, but the weekend might still wind up being a split if the cooler air pushes back Sunday.

Either way, when we get beyond Wednesday, things are looking complicated because of features that rarely play a role in our weather this time of year; so stay tuned as we tweak everything to get it as accurate as possible.
