BIG RAINS FLOODING POTENTIAL ENTER NYC

BIG RAINS FLOODING POTENTIAL ENTER NYC – Good morning. Big, tropical rains have entered the NYC area as flooding potential increases today with the moisture-laden atmosphere. It’ll also marks the beginning of the end for this troughy weather, before it builds up again early next week.

Look for rain, heavy at times this morning, with big ole tropical raindrops, and localized flooding in poor drainage areas/notorious problematic areas. This line of precip will swing on by, but we’ll still be in the troughs energy, so expect waves of this type of tropical rain/thunderstorms to swing in every 4-6 hours from our west and south off of the ocean; highs 75-80.

Tomorrow, we begin to slowly dry out after some morning showers. Cloudy, humid, and tropical conditions remain, highs in the mid 80’s. For Friday, it remains to seem as if it’ll be the warmest day of the week, but we could pair up with Saturday for two very warm to hot ones. Expect sun and clouds, slight chance of a shower or storm Friday, highs in the upper 80’s to near 90. We could break 90 in some areas if we get enough sun.

The same goes for Saturday, as it’ll be a very warm to hot and humid one. Clouds and sun, slight chance of showers or a storm, highs in the upper 80’s to near 90. Sunday will be very special with a brief break in the tropical madness. Look for sunny skies and seasonable mid 80’s, no chance of rain as of now.

On Monday, we’re back in the juice as we go for upper 80’s to near 90 with an approaching cold front. However, the font will disintegrate and the energy will get hung up along the east coast again; throwing us back in a prolonged pattern of high humidity and a chance of showers and storms at any time.

IF, and this is a big IF, we can tone down the amount of clouds and showers along the east coast, we might get some prolonged heat in the area starting at or around the first weekend of August. One might dare say the word heatwave, but if we are off by one day, it won’t be. Either way, the potential is there for a 3-6 day period of low to mid 90’s.
