CALM NYC WEATHER CONTINUES – Good afternoon everyone. There’s a beautiful late fall sky out there today, with a bit of a breeze, and temps in the mid 40’s. Dry and cold tonight, so bundle up if you’re heading out to see the Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center, lows in the low to mid 30’s. Tomorrow will be sunny with less wind, with highs again into the mid 40’s.
Clouds increase tomorrow night as a weak system approaches the area, with the chance of some wet flakes after midnight. Any snow that falls in NYC, will not stick to the streets but may cling on to colder surfaces (cars, grass, tree branches), especially in colder areas of the metro area. However, any precip that does fall will be scattered and light in nature, so don’t run to the supermarket to get milk, bread, and eggs. On Monday, the clouds stick around for a little while, with a few spotty showers possible until late morning/early afternoon.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, we watch a much stronger system approach the NYC area, with a good shot at some cold, steady periods of rain from Tuesday afternoon until Thursday morning. Our pattern is in flux right now, with incremental changes as each system passes by. This will be further discussed during my long range outlook late tomorrow night.
