Cloudy Weekend Start Monday Mild Start

Good morning everyone. We have increasing clouds this morning as our weak system for tomorrow is starting to gather up and not head our way. It’ll be close enough though to keep us in the clouds and maybe bring some patches of drizzle. Meanwhile, the “big” story is the mild start to the week, but I’m playing it conservative until I see that the mild push can make it all the way into the area.

SATELLITE

Expect the clouds to keep on coming today, but you’ll see some blue patches, especially in the morning. Highs today in the low 40’s.

REGIONAL RADAR

storm free

We’re pretty much socked in tomorrow, with clouds, maybe some drizzle, and more low 40’s for a raw day.

On Sunday, clouds will try and clear out, but our boundary of mild air moving in will keep us in the more clouds than sun category. We start creeping up though temp-wise with mid 40’s as highs.

LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY

As of now, I’m not jumping on the 60’s bandwagon and called for low 50’s in yesterday’s forecast for Monday. I’m going to stick with that for now, and we may even have to adjust it down a bit if the mild air doesn’t make it fully into the air. If it does, then we will adjust as needed, but I’m staying conservative for now.

Same thing goes for Tuesday, especially if the clouds start increasing for Wednesday’s system. We’ll stick with upper 40’s to low 50’s unless we see otherwise.

LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA

We have a big rainmaker moving in for Wednesday and possibly Thursday depending on the timing, then we continue to watch for any signs of snow down the road. So far there’s nothing major on the horizon.
