JULY NIGHT AUGUST FRIDAY SEPTEMBER WEEKEND – Good evening everyone! If you live a few miles away from the ocean, you experienced a hot day that’ll transfer over to a very summer-like night. Temps in many places will only get down to the mid 70’s overnight, with upper 60’s and low 70’s in outlying areas.
Scattered severe storms are transiting well north of our area, and we won’t see the chance of anything until tomorrow afternoon. That being said, anything will be isolated in nature and most of the action will be North and west of the NYC area. Temps tomorrow will be near 90 again, 80 near the coast, then we cool off into the 50’s as the cool airmass moves in behind any storms that may develop.
Easterly winds take over this weekend, with temps 65-70 for almost the entire area. Rain moves back in for Monday as warm air attempts to move back in, but it won’t get far. We’ll have mid 70’s for both Monday and Tuesday, with Tuesday being the nicer of the two days as sun returns, but clouds and cooler weather return for midweek and into Memorial Day weekend. Upper 60’s to low 70’s will be the theme for an extended period, plus several systems transiting the area before any chance of warm weather returning early June.
