THREE DAY NYC SUMMER STRETCH BEFORE COOL DOWN – Good morning everyone! The weather is absolutely glorious for the next three days. We’ve been talking about this for more than two weeks and warm air has arrived on schedule.
We’ll keep it short and simple today in terms of the forecast. Sunny skies and very warm today, 85-90, upper 70’s to low 80’s along the shore. Humidity increases tomorrow, with temps in the upper 80’s to low 90’s, upper 70’s to low 80’s along the shore. Friday we’ll have a slight chance of a shower or storm as the cooler airmass begins to make it’s way towards the NYC area. However, temps will still be in the mid to upper 80’s and high humidity.
We cool off over the weekend to temps near 70 and breezy conditions. In the long range, for the next 10 days or so, it looks as if we hover back and fourth between slightly below normal to slightly above normal temps (65-75 degrees). At the end of the month and into the first week of June, we make another run at some summer- like weather, but we have to wait and see how strong that push is.

The dark signature of warm, dry air has finally drifted out way. A powerful system is giving the midwest fits with severe weather, but it’ll weaken significantly before getting close to us.
