LIGHT SNOW ENTERS NYC
Light Snow Enters NYC – Good afternoon folks and welcome to our first “Cheap Thrill” of the season. Light snow has spread across the area and will continue to fall until around 1-2am, as temps which are at or just above freezing right now, will rise overnight to near 40 just before sunrise. There are a few moderate pockets of snow mixed into this arm of moisture over the area, but it will have a hard time sticking on the streets; mostly cold surface (cars, branches, grass). Look for a trace to 1″ of snow at best in our area, although up in more northern areas of the Bronx, we could see 1-2″ of snow before the changeover washes everything away. Tomorrow will be a rainy day up until about late morning/early afternoon, with highs in the upper 40’s to near 50. Winds will pickup overnight tomorrow, with lows in the mid 30’s. The sun returns for Tuesday with a cool light breeze and highs in the low 40’s. Light snow enters NYC – Light snow associated with a warm front has spread over the region. There are a few pockets of moderate snow, but overall we do not expect much accumulation in NYC and coastal areas.
Light snow enters NYC – Areas of the Bronx could see slightly more snow, with 1-2″ maximum as it’ll take slightly longer for a changeover to occur, and more moderate bands set up just north of Long Island and NW of Manhattan.
