Light Snow Expected Across Region
Good morning everyone. Clouds have already entered the picture as another area of snow is about to move into the region. We’re looking for a generic swath of light to moderate snow to develop overnight tonight into tomorrow, then some bitter cold air for the weekend.
Areas of southeast PA, south NJ, and northern DE & MD will see the “heaviest” snow, with 3-6″ expected in a small area. For the NYC area, we’re going to see another 1-3/2-4″ type snowfall, and that’s probably the last of the snow for a little while.
After bitter cold air races through, we begin to modify next week and go seasonably cold to slightly above average temp-wise.
Here is your local forecast –
SATELLITE
For today, clouds lower and thicken, and we remain on the cold side. Look for highs in the upper 20’s to near 30. Light snow heads in overnight, and anything that falls will stick since temps drop to the mid 20’s.
Light snow sticks around tomorrow, and it’ll continue to stick as temps hang around in the below freezing to near-freezing real. Look for 1-3″ of snow unless we see some sort of “heavier” convection. If that happens, we’ll notch it up to 2-4″ of snow. Temps overnight will drop into the mid to upper teens.
WEATHER RADAR
Saturday is very cold for this time of year, but not anything we haven’t seen before. Expect highs in the mid to upper 20’s during the day, then mid teens overnight.
Sunday is no bargain either, with upper 20’s to near 30 and sunshine.
