Low Pressure Retrograde Complicates Friday Forecast
Good morning everyone. We’re off to a decent, seasonal day today as low pressure slips just enough to our south to bring in some unexpected sunshine. However, that same low pressure will stick around for a while and even retrograde back eastward before finally heading out, giving us a cloudy and possibly showery Friday.
SATELLITE
Look for any remaining cloudy conditions to give way to sun west to east today. We’ll be in the seasonal range temp-wise with highs in the mid 50’s. Average temps for April 1st in NYC are 54-57 depending on your source.
We’ll have a mix of sun and clouds tomorrow, with more clouds creeping in towards sunset. Highs tomorrow again in the mid 50’s.
REGIONAL RADAR
Mid 50’s continue for Friday, but low pressure creeping back will give us a cloudy day with stiff northerlies. We’ll also be keeping an eye on the radar as may have a chance at some showers.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
Low pressure will finally crawl away Saturday, giving us decreasing clouds, dry conditions, and highs in the mid 50’s again.
Slightly milder air heads in for Sunday, and we’ll have a mix of clouds and sun with highs near 60.
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Our fast moving pattern continues, and there’s nothing major going on in either direction temp wise or in terms of systems. We’ll have lots of mid to upper 50’s throughout this period, which is seasonal this time of year.
