MILD SUNNY NYC SATURDAY VOLATILE PATTERN RESUMES – Good afternoon everyone! A little surprise rain this morning is now way behind us and partly to mostly sunny skies resume for the day. We’ll have variable winds switching to the NW and it’ll be breezy at times, but it’ll be a beautiful day with highs in the low to mid 70’s. Tonight, we’ll have clear skies and seasonably cool lows in the 50’s, but clouds will increase tomorrow as a weak front heads our way.
We’re not looking at any big rainouts tomorrow, and I will even say to go out and enjoy the day. However, just keep in mind that we’ll have clouds lowering and thickening by early afternoon, with the slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm; highs in the low 70’s. As this weak front stalls across the area, the chances of some steadier rain will increase as waves of low pressure ride along it. This rain chance will increase Sunday evening before midnight, then carry over into Monday, with rain on and off all day and the chance of a few rumbles of thunder; highs in the upper 60’s to low 70’s.
For the rest of the week, this system will be slow to clear out and we’ll be on the cool side of things. Mostly cloudy skies and the risk of a few showers remain for Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs in the mid to upper 60’s. Our best chance for some clearing will start on Thursday as we await to see what the warm air does for next weekend. As of now, I’ll tentatively call for mid 70’s to low 80’s for next weekend, and then we look even further down the road to possibly some very warm/hot weather starting the weekend of the 17th.
