MORE NYC RAIN WATCHING MIDDLE APRIL SPRING
MORE NYC RAIN WATCHING MIDDLE APRIL SPRING – Good morning everyone! Another batch of rain with some embedded thundershowers is heading towards the NYC area. Clouds and scattered periods of steady rain, heavy at times, will be with us for most of the day; highs 55-60. Showers end tonight and we’ll have a cloudy morning tomorrow before some partial clearing in the afternoon. We’ll reach the upper 50’s to near 60, but it may feel cooler with a northerly breeze.
Sun and near normal temps will be with us Thursday, but then another system approaches on Friday. Clouds and rain will be with us Friday and Saturday; similar to what we saw this past weekend, but we’ll clear out late weekend and have sunny skies Sunday and Monday; highs near 60.
In the long range, I’m seeing a decent shot at some 60’s/70’s mid April once we get past this gloom and parade of systems. I’ve been keeping an eye on the prospect of this for over a week now and the process is continuing to give us this possibility. As always, we have to watch for back door fronts, but there’s a chance here we may get warm air push way north of our area and for a good block of time.
