NORMAL STRETCH AHEAD SLIGHT HOPEFUL GLIMMER FOR SUMMER LOVERS – Good morning everyone! The sun is out, skies are blue, and a dry, comfortable warmth has settled in over the area. We may not be experiencing the typical “dog days” of summer with energy sapping humidity, but with temps hovering around normal (83°) all week, it’ll remind us that fall isn’t here just yet.
Tomorrow will be a carbon copy of today, then a series of weak waves of energy will transit the area over the course of several days. This will add clouds and a slight chance of showers each day from Friday onward, but we hold onto near normal temps, plus we bump the humidity up a bit. Low 80’s with clouds and sun will trend into early next, then we wait to see if we get a bump in temps with any front related heat.
In the long range, I’m waiting to see if a high comes down from Canada and settles in over the area. If this were to happen, we would initially have a couple of cool days, followed by rapid warming some time late in the month due to sinking air and calm winds. With averages dipping down into the upper 70’s by late month, anything in the mid to upper 80’s would be considered relatively hot. If this doesn’t pan out, expect a continuation of weak, fast moving systems, and near normal temps.
