NYC Brief Storms Possible Overnight Tomorrow
Good morning everyone. We have a beautiful, perfect September day here in the NYC Metro area, and the majority of the next 5 days days will be like this. However, we have a small speed bump tomorrow night and Thursday AM, as our next cold front may be slow to fully clear the area.
SATELLITE
Sunny skies, near 80 temps, and low humidity dominate the area today. Overnight, we’ll only dip into the upper 60’s, a sign that humidity is increasing ahead of our next front.
WEATHER RADAR
Most of tomorrow looks dry with a mix of sun & clouds. We’ll have a humid high in the low to mid 80’s, then we’ll be keeping an eye on the radar late evening. As of now, I think any line of storms that does form will be narrow and fast moving. They may also not make it into our area intact due to the loss of fuel from the sun. We’ll watch it though, and anything that does approach will probably be knocking on our door between 10pm-2am.
For Thursday, we’re watching to see if our front is able to fully clear the area. A small wave may form along it, keeping clouds and scattered showers in the area, especially in the morning hours. Once everything is gone, we’ll have partial clearing in the afternoon with highs near 80.
Upper 70’s to near 80, dry conditions, and full sunshine, will bless us Friday through Sunday.
