NYC Cold Weekend Ahead & Early Week Snow Chances Remain Low
Good morning everyone. There continues to be not much going on in our area aside from some cold air sneaking in this weekend. We’re also watching a system approach for Monday and Tuesday, but a colder solution may push everything just to our south. Regardless, this does not look like a powerful system as of the moment, and just something that’s sliding west to east.
SATELLITE
Expect some morning clouds today, then PM sunshine. Highs will be in the low to mid 40’s. Sunshine and dry conditions continue through tomorrow, and we should be near 40 as colder air prepares to move in. This may spark off a few flurries tomorrow night, and we dip under the 30 mark in spots.
We won’t recover much on Saturday, with a windy day and useless sunshine. Expect highs in the upper 20’s to low 30’s, then upper teens to low 20’s overnight.
The wind should relax a bit on Sunday, and we’ll have highs in the low 30’s.
Regardless of what happens Monday/Tuesday, at minimum we bring clouds into the area, even if most of the energy slides to our south. As of now, we’re going to go with increasing clouds Monday, cold & raw, with highs in the mid 30’s. We’ll have a slight chance of snow Monday night, but confidence is very low. Unless anything big changes, anything that does fall will be very light, but I’m leaning towards no snow right now.
