NYC Early Fall Air Makes Move Tomorrow

Good morning everyone. We have a beautiful, warm, early fall day here today, but cooler weather is on the move. Things might be a little unsettled tomorrow, then sunshine returns with a relative bite in the air overnight; especially Thursday. In the tropics, Sam remains formidable at 130mph sustained winds, but is not going to be a threat to the coast. Also, the fall weather is back on because of the fact that Sam is staying far away.

WEATHER RADAR

For the rest of the week, it’s game-on as far as much cooler conditions. We’ll have sunshine, but we’ll be in the 65-70 range for the entire week and into the weekend. So far, Thursday looks like the coolest day, where we might not even reach near 70. Also, overnight lows Thursday may dip into the upper 40’s in parts of Long Island and N&W of NYC.

In the long range, things settle back down to the original outlook. This again is due to Hurricane Sam’s LACK of influence. This will allow the jet stream to do its thing, allowing seasonably cool air to enter the Northeast. Expect 60’s or 65-70 degree weather to become more commonplace over the next 2 weeks.
