NYC Fairly Quiet Holiday Weekend
Good morning everyone. We continue watching Mother Nature’s chess pieces being moved around, and she has decided to play nice for the most part. Aside from unseasonably chilly temps at times and a mild Thanksgiving, all is pretty much quiet up and down the east coast.
SATELLITE
Today will be the chilliest day of this 7 day stretch, with a steady breeze, bright useless sunshine, and highs in the low 40’s. Overnight, we’ll dip into the upper 20’s to low 30’s, and areas away from the city will see mid to upper 20’s.
Chilly air and sunshine sticks around for tomorrow, but we do modify back to the mid to upper 40’s.
WEATHER RADAR
Thanksgiving Day is looking quiet and relatively mild for this time of year. Yes, we’ve seen warmer in the past, but mid 50’s for highs is a win in my book. That’ll put us approx 4-5 degrees above average, but it doesn’t last.
Our next cold front swings through Friday, and that’ll touch off some showers late Thursday night into Friday morning. Highs will be in the upper 40’s at best, then probably sink down a bit before sunset. It’ll be blustery as well, making it feel much colder.
The weekend is looking quiet and chilly, with sunshine and mid 40’s both Saturday and Sunday. Other than Friday’s cold front, I see nothing major on the horizon aside from reinforcing shots of cold/chilly air.
