NYC Heavy Rain Expected Overnight
Good morning everyone. We have our fairly potent system heading our way today into tonight, then things subside early tomorrow. This is a straight-up rainmaker for the NYC area, but areas of interior New England and southern coastal Maine, could see 6-12″+ of snow out of this.
SATELLITE
For us, clouds increase, lower, and thicken today. We’ll have highs in the low to mid 40’s today, then rain comes into the area some time between 3 and 7pm. It’ll start off light, then as energy transfers almost right over us, we will see some heavy rain overnight into early tomorrow morning.
Rain departs early tomorrow, then we’ll have lingering clouds and partial clearing late. Highs again in the low to mid 40’s.
WEATHER RADAR
Sun and milder conditions return for Sunday with highs near 50. Near 50 temps still with us through Wednesday, then we cool off a bit into the mid to upper 40’s.
As we look into late week and into the weekend, we have a chance some rain and/or snow late Fri or Saturday, but it’s too far out and could be a miss or glancing shot.
