NYC HOT HUMID MID JULY WEEKEND AHEAD – Good morning everyone and happy Friday the 13th. New York City has a hot and humid weekend coming up, but we’ll enjoy one more day of relatively comfortable temps.

Look for mostly sunny skies today with southeasterly winds developing ahead of a dome of warmer air moving in. Expect mid to upper 80’s today, but cooler at the coast once that breeze develops.

Tomorrow, the heat and humidity return, with sunny skies and highs near 90. We’ll have a slight chance of storms overnight tomorrow, then we quest for 90 degrees again on Sunday with another slight chance of a thunderstorm.

The heat and humidity continue into the beginning of the week as we go for or break 90 on Monday, then upper 80’s with oppressive humidity on Tuesday ahead of a cold front that could give us a healthy dose of showers and storms in the evening.

As far as the marine forecast is concerned, swells continue to come into the area with remnant activity offshore. There are no small craft advisories, but remain cautious if venturing through the inlets and coming back.
