NYC Long Range Forecast Shows Interesting November

NYC Long Range Forecast Shows Interesting November

Good afternoon everyone. We’re a far cry from yesterday’s warmth as rainy and raw conditions overtake the area. Temps should rise overnight, giving way to a milder day tomorrow, but rainy as well; especially through late morning. Then cool to chilly air pushes back in just in time for Halloween and overnight, through Thursday until we modify again.

What we are watching that’s interesting to me, is our long range forecast into late first week/second week of November. While models do depict a Nor’easter to hit the area some time int he second week, it is way way way too early to even discuss this. However, what we can discuss are the other things that depict an interesting long range. Mostly importantly the availability of cold enough air to create frozen precipitation. While I can’t sit here and tell you that NYC is going to get blasted with an early season snowstorm, I can tell you that there will be cold enough air in place or available, at which parts of the Northeast could see their first snows and/or bouts of mixed precip.
