NYC Long Range Looks Iffy With Few Mild Opportunities

Good morning and happy rainy weekend to all of you. We’ll keep things simple since we know its going to be a rainy weekend and rather cloudy week; and we’ll look ahead into the long range to see what’s going on and what to expect.

We have a rainy start today and rain will try to redevelop over the same areas as the day goes on. We’ll see if this actually happens, but even if it doesn’t, look for clouds and raw conditions around all day. Low clouds stick around tonight with drizzle and light rain, and we’ll take those conditions through tomorrow morning. Highs today will linger in the near 50/low 50 range.

Tomorrow it looks like another wave will develop and trek NNE into the area. This one has a little bit more juice and twist to it, so we could see some heavy rain and maybe a few rumbles out of it. Highs tomorrow near 60.

WEATHER RADAR

Clouds return Monday after a few AM blue breaks, then the slight chance of showers late with near 60 temps. Near 60 is the theme of the week, and we hold onto clouds both Tuesday and Wednesday. Tues has the better chance of some rain, but we could see a few scattered showers Wednesday as well.

In the long range, things are simply not looking look. It won’t be doom and gloom every moment, but we’ll have to figure out when those better moments will be. It’ll be tricky and our forecast might become a “now-cast”, which is common when this type of pattern visits some time between April & June.

However, when or whoever sees some extra sun after this workweek, could see a temporary boost into the 70-75 range. These patches may be small, scattered, and not make any sense, but that’s the way it goes.

We also see looking even further down the line, a possible break mid-May or just after mid-May. If it does work out, we could see more sun than clouds, milder/warmer conditions, and more humidity.
