NYC Majority Cool Pattern Developing
Good morning everyone. We have a beautiful next 3 days coming up in the NYC Metro Area, then we will begin to see some changes. We’re already on a gentle downward slope temp wise, but we may also be on a downward slope weather wise in terms of a more active pattern.
SATELLITE
Today through Wednesday is an easy one, with decreasing clouds today and mid to upper 60’s. Tomorrow we may see near 70 temps under full sunshine, then we fall off a bit back into he mid to upper 60’s for Wednesday. However, we still remain dry until Thursday.
WEATHER RADAR
Thursday we will have a cold front approach from the west. This is a long one that’ll dig down into the Gulf, possibly pick up some tropical moisture, and stream it up the eastern seaboard. This is nothing like Ian, we’re just talking enhanced rain with the help of the tropics. Best chance to see some shower and thunderstorm action will be later at night, so expect cloudy and humid conditions for most of Thursday with highs a breezy near 70.
We could have some leftover AM showers on Friday, then some partial clearing as we sink back into the mid to upper 60’s. Your weekend is looking dry and sunny, with highs 60-65.
In the long range, we have a series of fronts that’ll chop us down to size as far as high temps. With each progression, expect cooler and cooler temps, possibly giving us a November-type feel. IF, and this is a strong IF, the timing of our fronts work out right, we may not be done with a 70 or near 70 degree day here or there, but the chances will be few and far in between. We will also keep an eye on a few opportunities for coastal systems that may provide us with the opportunity for gloom, windswept rain, and an even greater November-like feel as highs might not get out of the upper 40’s or low 50’s if any of these come to fruition.
