NYC MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND FORECAST
NYC MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND FORECAST
NYC MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND FORECAST – Good afternoon everyone! This weekend, we give thanks to those servicemen and servicewomen who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Country, our freedom, and way of life. When the weather is iffy on a weekend such as this, just remember that it’s just weather in the big scheme of things and paying our respects is the most important purpose of this weekend.
Today will be a beautiful day, with a light variable breeze, and a light southerly seabreeze for coastal areas. Highs in most places will be 70-75, even at the coast. Fog and drizzle move back in tonight as light easterly winds return. Drizzle will continue tomorrow morning, then clouds remain all day, highs in the mid to upper 60’s. On Monday, our warm front/cold front combo seems to be a little more enhanced than previously thought, giving us some steady showers and a few rumbles of thunder through early afternoon, highs 65-70.
Because of our lack of “spring” weather, many look at this as one more kick while we’re down. However, Memorial Day Weekends such as this weather-wise, are somewhat common in our area. I remember clearly in 1993, our first day on a newly purchased boat was Memorial Day Weekend; and it was 55 and rainy all weekend. We’ve had many like this through the years and we can just add this one to the list.
While it’s a little too late, in the long range we clear out for a dry and mild week. On Tuesday, we’ll have partial clearing and highs 75-80 if we can clear out early, 70-75 is we don’t. The rest of the week looks partly to mostly sunny, with highs 75-80, and quiet.

NYC MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND FORECAST – another area of disturbed weather makes its way towards our area in piece-meal fashion. After a sunny day today, drizzle and fog tonight, drizzle and clouds tomorrow, then a chance of steadier rain Monday morning to early afternoon.
Northeast Radar
Radar is showing a few showers and thundershowers passing to our southwest, but it is the harbinger of clouds and drizzle tonight and tomorrow morning.
