SUN RETURNS TEMPORARILY HOLIDAY WEEKEND SPLIT HOLDS – Good morning everyone! No, it’s not a UFO, that glowing yellow orb in the sky is the sun. We’ll have sun and clouds all day and temps will rise into the mid 70’s in the NYC area with the help of that sun.
For Memorial Day Weekend, clouds and sun, and mid 70’s carries over into tomorrow before clouds move back in for Sunday. Don’t cancel any plans for Sunday as it looks mostly dry, but cool and mostly cloudy, with highs in the upper 60’s. On Monday, a weak system will move to our north, but with cold air aloft and the sun working the atmosphere, expect cloudy skies, chance of some scattered showers, and maybe even a thunderstorm in the afternoon. Again, no big rainouts like yesterday, but be mindful and bring an umbrella if you’re outside and one of those showers pops up; highs in the upper 60’s to low 70’s.
