NYC Memorial Day Weekend Remains Dry
Good morning everyone. We continue to watch an improving forecast for the NYC area during Memorial Day Weekend, with things pretty much locking in. The southeast will have to deal with a coastal system, and that squeeze between high pressure protect us, and formidable low pressure down south, will create some rough surf and inlet conditions up here.
SATELLITE
Sunshine and some veiled smoke dominate today, with mid 70’s expected for highs. Clouds increase later on with the slight chance of a shower or storm this evening or overnight, but the front seems pretty dry overall for down here.
It’ll be a breezy one tomorrow, with sunshine and highs in the 65-70 range.
WEATHER RADAR
We recover well on Friday with mid 70’s, but winds will begin to switch off the ocean and surf will increase. Things remain looking sunny and dry Saturday and Sunday with 75-80 degree temps. a steady ESE flow will ensure the ground swell keeps rolling and inlets/beaches remain a little rough.
The forecast for Monday is holding steady as well, with sun & clouds, the very slight chance of a late shower, and highs in the upper 70’s to low 80’s.
