NYC Quiet Four Day Stretch Before More Rain
Good morning. Below average temps have started to make their way into the area, and we should have a borderline bitter cold night tonight. The cold air won’t last, but quiet weather will until more rain heads in on Tuesday.
SATELLITE
Look for a sunny and breezy day today, with stiff northwesterlies ushering in that cold air. Our high temps are happening now, and any 30’s will drop into the mid 20’s before sunset. Overnight, we’re not going as cold as expected locally, but single digits may still be found well north of the City. Expect mid to upper teens around our area as opposed to the low to mid teens previously forecasted.
REGIONAL RADAR
Cold air remains locked in tomorrow, but the wind relaxes. After a day in the low 30’s, we’ll fail to drop much lower overnight as milder air is already kicking the cold air out.
Sunday looks like a beautiful day despite some extra clouds by afternoon, and we should see highs in the mid to upper 40’s in most spots.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
To start off President’s week Monday, we’re looking quiet and comfortable. Expect sunny skies, light winds, and highs in the mid to upper 40’s again.
Clouds begin to increase overnight Monday, and more rain should be moving in sometime between Tuesday afternoon and evening.
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
We continue to see no signs of any major snowstorms or systems for our area, and it’s becoming more likely we enter March on a snowless or near-snowless note. That puts in a precarious situation for snow lovers, as we have nothing to work off of and our microclimate working against us soon.
The only way now, will be a perfectly placed, perfectly timed, deep storm.
MANY THANKS TO TROPICAL TIDBITS FOR THE USE OF MAPS
