NYC Rainy Few Days Ahead And Possibly Midweek

Good morning everyone. Rain has moved into the area and we’ll see varying amounts of the wet stuff over the next 3 days, with maybe a little bit more on Wednesday. We won’t need to build an Ark from the light rain, and we need this to wash away some of the grime on everything. Overall, things are moving in the right direction and there is a lack of “snow talk” at the moment for our future.

Expect clouds and on & off rain today through midday, then things begin to taper off for a bit. We’ll have highs near 50 in most spots, and that’ll help continue to wash away the remnants of our very active & snowy/icy February.

F5 WEATHER RADARS

Our system hangs back and sends another wave our way for tomorrow afternoon. This will help keep clouds in the picture, then another chance of rain tomorrow PM and into the night. We’ll be on the cooler side of things, so this rain will be a chilly one as highs hang out in the low to mid 40’s.

We’ll see if rain hangs on into early Monday morning, but most of Monday looks dry. Maybe we’ll even see some blue patches by Monday afternoon, but colder air is on the move after we do 45-50 for Monday.

Tuesday we go sunny and cold with highs in the mid 30’s, then clouds increase Wednesday as milder air advances on the area again. We could see a few showers on Wednesday ahead of that airmass, but then we are back to near 50 for Thursday.

For the most part, I like what I see in the long range, with lots of 45-50 degree weather becoming more commonplace. It won’t be perfect and we do have some cold days left, but we are trending in the right direction towards some spring-like weather down the road.
