NYC Rainy Start Sunny Windy Finish
Good morning everyone. If you’re up already, you have a rainy start to your day and a wet commute. However, things are looking up if you can deal with the wind, and we have 2 days of sun (if you count later today); before our next system says hi.
REGIONAL RADAR
Our clearing line is very well defined and chugging east at a good clip. Rain should be out of the NYC area by 8am, then in time increments west to east through Long Island.
Clouds will be replaced by sun, and unfortunately, wind. On a positive note, the sun and wind will help dry things out rather quickly. We’ll also have an seasonal day with highs in the upper 70’s to near 80 throughout most parts. Except 10-15mph steady northwesterlies, with gusts 20-30mph at times.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
Tomorrow, we remain sunny and near-seasonal, with highs in the mid to upper 70’s. Lighter winds will help make things feel warmer, but we swing the winds around to an onshore flow as our next system begins getting closer.
Clouds increase overnight tomorrow, but I think we hold off on the rain until just before or just after sunrise Thursday. Again, it won’t be a total washout, but we could see several periods of steady rain and rumbles (nothing severe). Highs Thursday in the upper 60’s to low 70’s.
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA

We clear out again on Friday with sunny, breezy conditions and mid 70’s. At this point, the weekend looks like a winner and rain holds off; possibly even sparing most of next Monday.
We remain in an active, fast-moving pattern though, but at least we’ll grab some sunny skies and upper 70’s to low 80’s both Saturday and Sunday.
