NYC Seasonably Cool Temps Continue & Weekend System Looks Minor At Best

Good morning everyone. Our cool and quiet stretch continues with more dry weather down the road till Saturday…maybe…

SATELLITE

Clouds and sun will be on the menu today, with more clouds than sun for most of the day, then maybe some partial clearing. Highs today will be in the low to mid 40’s, then into the 20’s we go at night.

REGIONAL RADAR

Tomorrow will be the “coldest” day of the week as seasonably cold temps settle in for a 1 day show. Sunny skies, a stiff WNW flow, and upper 30’s to near 40 will be it for the day. It’ll actually be a touch warmer tomorrow night compared to tonight, as we dip to near 30 for NYC proper.

LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY

On Friday, look for morning sun, then increasing clouds late. We remain dry and highs should pop back up into the low to mid 40’s.

Our weekend system continues to look weak with not much cold air to work with. We’re still figuring out whether we get brushed by a quickly departing, weak costal low, or get our clouds and light rain/light mix from the upper air energy that fails to join forces with our low. Either way, look for a cloudy Saturday, with the slight chance of light showers. If some precip gets in early as in before sunrise Saturday, we could see some flakes mixed in, but no accumulation is expected at this time.

The only other scenario I see for the weekend is nothing, absolutely nothing, with low pressure scooting away and we see a mostly cloudy Saturday with no precip. Sorry folks.
