NYC Showers Storms Brush Area Keeping Temps Down
Good afternoon everyone. A complex of showers and storms moving off the coast of New Jersey has expanded and grown out just enough, it is skirting parts of the area; especially the south shore of New York City and Long Island. This will keep clouds in the area for a prolonged amount of time, holding temperatures back from making it to near 90 today. Very warm conditions return tomorrow, and we still remain on the lookout for severe weather prospects for Friday. Meanwhile, your weekend remains looking beautiful relative to the standards we’ve been dealing with the past 4-6 weeks.
SATELLITE
For today, those showers and storms are skirting the area as we speak. We could see some blue breaks in a few hours, which will help boost temps into the near 80/low 80 realm. It’ll also be on the humid side.
Sunshine returns tomorrow with slightly drier conditions and highs in the 85-90 range.
WEATHER RADAR
We’ll have am mix of sun and clouds on Friday. Some nocturnal storms should die out before they reach the area, then fire up again in Northeast PA, upstate NY, and NW New Jersey. Expect the usual game of watching the radar to see if they survive the trip, but regardless, these storms (whoever gets hit) could be on the severe side. Highs in the mid 80’s and humid.
Your weekend remains looking beautiful, with sunshine each day; mid 80’s Saturday, then 85-90 Sunday.
