NYC Showery Day Today Cool Weekend Ahead
Good morning everyone! We have more rain heading our way even though the majority of it is riding west and north of NYC right now. Things will begin to dry out, especially on Sunday, then we will watch for some milder air possible to start the week. Either way, we remain in an active pattern with rain coming back mid to late week next week.
SATELLITE
Clouds stick around today and so does the rain. We’ll start off with some scattered showers, especially north and west of NYC. However, another wave of low pressure forms during the evening, increasing the steady rain factor and maybe even some thunder here and there. We’ll have unseasonably cool conditions with highs in the low to mid 50’s at best.
Things improve tomorrow, but we’ll still have the chance of some scattered showers under a mix of sun and clouds. Look for highs in the mid 50’s.
WEATHER RADAR
There will be one more chance of scattered showers on Saturday as another small piece of energy goes north of the NYC area. We’ll have a mix of sun and clouds and highs in the mid to upper 50’s.
Sunday will be the driest day of the weekend, with mostly sunny skies and more mid 50’s.
Milder air sneaks in to start the week with seasonably low 60’s on Monday under full sunshine. I’m not fully convinced Tuesday is as perfect as depicted by NWS with sunshine and 70’s. We’ll wait on that because we could see some AM rain, PM sun, then upper 60’s to low 70’s depending on the cloud cover. I’m also not committed to Wednesday with our next system heading west. We’ll see how long it takes to get here and/or when clouds begin to increase.
