NYC SPECTACULAR CHRISTMAS DAY
NYC SPECTACULAR CHRISTMAS DAY – Good morning everyone and TGIF! As I’ve said in previous forecasts, things are looking rather simple and easy for the next several days. Today we sit in between two systems and we’ll have sunny skies with highs in the upper 40’s to near 50; a perfect travel day for those hitting the road. Tonight, clouds increase with a chance of some steady rain till around 11am tomorrow, then becoming more scattered and light throughout the day before ending for good mid to late afternoon, highs near 50. For Christmas Day, the sun returns once again, with highs in the upper 40’s to near 50. It may be a bit breezy in the morning, but winds will become light and out of the north by late afternoon. On monday, we see another slight chance of rain with yet another weak system heading into the Northeast, with highs continuing to approach 50, and 50 again on Tuesday with some sun.
Seasonably cold weather returns by mid-week as we watch the parade of systems continue. Stay tuned for my long range forecast on Saturday afternoon, in which I will discuss the collapsing notion of very warm air for the last week of December and into January. Things are definitely looking more seasonable and possibly interesting.
NYC Spectacular Christmas Day – Satellite shows us perfectly in between two systems, giving us one more sunny day before some rain on Saturday, then the sun returns for Christmas Day with temps slightly above normal.
Radar remains very quiet and will remain so until Saturday morning with a chance of some steady rain in the morning.
