NYC Weekend Low Pressure Remains Well Offshore
Good morning everyone. We remain on schedule for some late clearing today, as well as a temperature drop as the day goes on. Windy mid 50’s will give way to seasonably cold temps this weekend, while a wave of low pressure developing as the old system passes by, remains too far offshore to cause any big problems. (which is why it was never mentioned yesterday)
SATELLITE
We remain socked in with the clouds, and the mid 50’s we’re having now will be it for highs. We could see a few late blue patches, but it won’t help with the temps as we drop through the 40’s. Overnight will be a seasonably cold one, with lows in the mid to upper 20’s.
WEATHER RADAR
Sunshine returns tomorrow, but the winds won’t be going anywhere. Expect a seasonably cold day and it’ll feel colder with the gusty winds.
Clouds may increase slightly on the ESE horizon on Sunday as low pressure wants to brush us, but won’t get close enough. The best chance to see any fringe effects, will be out on the South Fork of Long Island with cloudy skies and the slight chance of some showers or snow showers. Little to no accumulation is expected, if this even happens at all. That being said, it’ll help keep the winds in the area, with highs in the upper 30’s to near 40.
Our next organized system moves through some time between late next Thursday and Friday, with some cold over-running rain, but just warm enough for no accumulating snow. There’s a SLIGHT chance we might start of with a very brief period of light mix or wet flakes, but it won’t be anything of consequence if it even happens at all.
