NYC Wide Temp Ranges Next 5 Days Especially Eastward
Good morning everyone. The forecast goes “complicated” as expected with a cooler flow coming in and out of the area; plus fine demarcation lines as to who will see the coolest conditions vs. warm air hanging on. Sunday will be the easiest forecast with very warm to hot air drifting back over the area, then we drop again on Monday for a small (but not extreme) coaster ride.

Cooler air arrives a little earlier with upper 80’s and 90 degree temps from yesterday, dipping into the 70’s today as that maritime flow takes over. Expect mid to upper 70’s today in the NYC area, however, parts of Long Island (specifically south facing shores and the east end) may not get out of the mid 60’s.
Expect more of the same tomorrow, but extra clouds rolling in. Any chance of rain will hold off till Saturday, and that’s courtesy of warmer air trying to come back. Look for near 80 temps on Saturday, mostly cloudy skies, and the slight chance of a shower. Again, the south shore of Long Island seems to struggle as temps barely reach 70.
Sunday is the easiest of the bunch and it’s also the warmest. Skies clear out and a light WSW flow will help boost temps into the 85-90 range. Upper 80’s will be widespread and some 90 hits in the typical spots of downtown Brooklyn, Queens North, and just west of Manhattan. The ocean is still chilly, so expect cooler temps along the shore.
To start next week, cooler air creeps back in as we dip into the 70-75 degree range for Monday with clouds and sun.
