SPRING WEATHER CONTINUES MOTHERS DAY QUESTIONABLE

SPRING WEATHER CONTINUES MOTHERS DAY QUESTIONABLE – Good morning everyone. Our strong May comeback continues and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. However, there will always be a few speed bumps on the trek to summer, and one of those speed bumps may be on Mother’s Day.

Look for bright sunshine today and tomorrow, with light winds and temps a few comfortable degrees above normal; highs in the low to mid 70’s. On Thursday, a weak disturbance may touch off a scattered shower or storm; clouds and sun, low to mid 70’s again. The sun returns full blast on Friday as do low to mid 70’s, but it’ll be a bit breezy out there.

For the holiday weekend, clouds and sun continue to hold for Saturday with low to mid 70’s. That being said, the caveat I posted about Mother’s Day on Sunday may play out. We’ll be closely watching a front that may drop down from the north, giving us some clouds and unsettled weather. With this approach, we rarely get any rainouts, but depending on the timing of the front, we could be looking at either a somewhat gloomy day and 60’s; or if the front hangs back for a few hours, mid to upper 70’s with the chance of a thunderstorm.

Regardless of what happens, the warm air continues to want to rebound, and we could see a fairly large stretch of 80-85 degree weather next week. Stay tuned and we will pin down that timing for Mother’s Day.
