Tropical Storm Zeta Will Help Energize Late Week System
Good morning everyone and we have a lot going on. As you know, this week is pretty much a done deal in terms of clouds and showers, but we’re going to add a little bit of spice to the forecast late week. The last push of our daisy-chain system, will include the remnants of what-will-be Hurricane Zeta that’s set to once again target the LA coast.
SATELLITE
For today, the first part of our system will swing by. Clouds and scattered light rain will be in and out as the day goes by. Don’t expect a full washout, but don’t expect a nice day either. We’ll have an overall damp day with highs 55-60.
REGIONAL RADAR
Tomorrow and Wednesday we dry out a bit as that front slips to our south, preparing to move back north on Tuesday and Friday. Expect clouds and sun and 2 cool days as maritime air takes hold. We’ll have highs in the 55-60 range regardless of the sun.
LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY
Our system begins to make its final push on Thursday before fully pushing through on Friday. We’ll have increasing clouds, then the chance of some rain. As of now, the best chance of rain will be late Thursday into overnight Friday.
The rain itself will be enhanced by Zeta, which will slam into the LA as a hurricane, then getting pulled northeast by our approaching system. This will give us a windswept rain, heavy at times, with some localized flooding possible in spots.
LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA
Everything clears out for Saturday and Sunday, but it’ll be breezy and very cool. Expect sunny skies and breezy conditions Saturday, with highs 50-55 both days.
