Tropics Continue To Peak With Eyes On Bermuda

Good morning everyone. Things are very busy in the tropics if you didn’t already know, and Paulette continues on a path that may impact Bermuda in a big way. Behind it is Rene, and we also have a tropical depression in South Florida heading into the Gulf. That’ll most likely become Tropical Storm Sally, and impact the AL, MS, and LA coast. On top of all that, we have a couple of areas of disturbed weather we are watching, but as of now there’s no immediate danger for the East Coast in the intermediate future.

SATELLITE

For us, we have a wonderful seasonably cool day today under mostly sunny skies. Highs today will only make it into the low 70’s for most spots, and that’ll make for a comfortable day.

REGIONAL RADAR

Tomorrow the clouds and humidity fight back a bit ahead of a cold front that’ll be swinging by. It could touch off some PM storms, but most of the action will be going to the north of us. Highs tomorrow a slightly humid near 80.

LOCAL RADAR NEW YORK CITY

Monday is looking fantastic and essentially my favorite type of weather. We’ll have some morning clouds with that front moving through slowly, then PM sunshine. Light NW winds will dry the air out and help get us into the upper 70’s to low 80’s.

We cool off on Tuesday and Wednesday as high pressure settles into the Northeast, and we’ll see sunny skies with 70-75 degree temps as highs.

LOCAL RADAR PHILADELPHIA

Overall things are looking very pleasant for the Northeast this weekend and into next week aside from tomorrow’s chance of a storm. We’ll keep an eye on the tropics and especially for Bermuda, which is something that concerned me 2 weeks ago when I saw this pattern setting up.

MANY THANKS TO TROPICAL TIDBITS FOR THE USE OF MAPS
