Good morning everyone. Today’s a good news-bad news kinda day, so we’ll jump right into it and give you the good news. For Monday’s overrunning scenario, high pressure will build in too strong to allow for any significant snow; so NYC and Long Island can breathe a sigh of relief. The bad news is that it’ll be a cold one for a couple of days with some teens overnight.
As the Tri-State area continues to recover from the Blizzard of ’26, the gears of spring are turning strong as 70’s and 80’s will bubble up in the Southeast; gracing my area with some really nice conditions next week and over the following weekend. I’ll be thinking of all of you as I sip on some rum outdoors in my t-shirt and puff away on my favorite cigar. It’s not all fun and games though, picking out what to drink and smoke is a big challenge in this house.
For today, look for some AM sun, then increasing clouds. We’ll have the slight chance of some sprinkles or flurries (or both), with highs in the upper 30’s to near 40. Full sunshine returns tomorrow with more upper 30’s to near 40.
Saturday is the best day of your weekend, with highs in the mid to upper 40’s. Clouds increase on Sunday, then decrease again as the day goes on. It’ll be cooler with highs near 40. Just for some contrast, it’ll be sunny with low 70’s in North Myrtle Beach, SC on Sunday. Temps dip into the teens Sunday night as cold high pressure protects NYC from any major systems.
Clouds creep in on Monday with the slight chance of some light snow if moisture is able to creep far enough, It’ll be very cold with highs in the mid to upper 20’s. By the end of next week or into the follow weekend, look for some possible upper 40’s to 50’s as I bask in low 80’s.
